Artist's book and exhibition catalog of "Sinossi (bon voyage)" by Pesce Khete, at COLLI, Rome. Analyzing various art catalogs, specifically focusing on painting, to identify the types of work indexing in painting. As a descriptive tool of the painting material, the card supports the image in solidifying the work, using physical-dimensional, contextual, and proprietary codes: becoming "discursive" it achieves narrativity or processuality. Starting from a selected bibliography of types of publications on painting, including "master" ones, this literary device is experimented with to investigate the work of an artist with poetic-technical parameters, partly borrowed from art historiography. "Sinossi (Bon voyage)" by Pesce Khete is a series of paintings on paper that focuses on different stratigraphic cycles, passages traced for a synoptic overview of the work in progress. The artist, working in terms of production and systemic painting, has sought to avoid the terms of an artistic "summa" by activating factors of "discard," resumption, and residue. The resulting works are part of an incessant process of pictorial re-writing that has temporarily stopped for the exhibition. A progressive and potential tool of pictorial motion is the preparatory base, the grid of sentimental geometries, the clue of the image before its formal structuring. This "dynamic sinopia" is the mental process of the painting laboratory that generates potential spaces-journeys of infinite unpublished exhibitions.
